Union City, NJ
Spacious 2-Bedroom Apartment NYC-10 mins away
About the property
1 stop/10mins to NYC. Our apartment is located in the most convenient neighborhood and it's right next to a variety of restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, laundrymat and more. It's a safe neighborhood. It is urban and sometimes not very quiet especially on the weekends. It offers a lively environment for most people.
Since it is a busy area, parking is tough to find especially after 5pm.
We will provide a parking permit for street parking.
This 2-bedroom apartment is very cozy. Other than a perfect location it offers independence and freedom as if you were in your own home. It can accomodate a maximum of 6 people. There are two full beds and 2 sofa beds. We provide each guest with enough bedding arrangements and towels. We are more than happy to meet your needs. Just feel free to let us know:)
Please keep in mind that the apartment is in a building that is not modern. The apartment has everything you will need for a comfortable and inexpensive stay but it does not offer luxury accommodations.
Guests have access to entire Apt.
I will be available and ready to help as much as you need.
Neighborhood is urban and safe. The bus station that takes you right into NYC is two blocks away and this section is always busy with travelers. The pharmacy is 2 blocks away from the apartment and proves to be very convenient for any needs that you might encounter. The Weehawken public library has an outstanding review and it is located just 3 blocks from the apartment. One of my favorite Greek restaurant is stationed just by the waterfront over-looking the Empire State Building. It is called "Molo's Waterfront Estiatorio". Also, the Hamilton Park is in walking distance and offers tremendous view of the NYC Skyline. Everyone comes here to photograph NYC.
Because it is an urban community it is not a quiet neighborhood. It can be noisy especially during the weekend.
The bus stop is just steps from the apartment. Going to NYC you can take many of the buses that make a stop there but our preferred one is bus #156. It will leave you on 42nd street in the Port Authority.
Coming back from NYC you can take the bus #156 back from Port Authority. The gate is number 200 on the second floor. You will need to buy a ticket from the Orange machines throughout the building. When prompted you need to choose bus #156
Zone 2
It will leave you steps from the apartment.
Please note DO NOT TAKE BUS NO. 156R. It travels through a different route.
Trip to/from airports: You can always take a cab. It takes about 1 hour from JFK to the apartment, and costs around $80-$100. LaGuardia is 40 minutes away and costs around $60. Newark is around 20 minutes and costs about $25.
Public Transportation from JFK to the apartment: Firstly you need to take the AirTran(red line) from the airport to JFK Airport Jamaica, then take E train there to Port Authority, where you will take NJ bus 156 to the apartment. The whole trip is around 1.5 hours and costs around $11/person.
Public Transportation from LaGuardia Airport: Take Bus Q70-SBS to Roosevelt Av&74th st, where you will take E train to Port Authority, and then take NJ bus 156 to the apartment, whole trip is around 1.5 hours and costs about $9/person.
Public transportation service may change at night and on weekend.
There are currently a few burned marks on the carpet on the bigger bedroom. Previous guests damaged it after lighting candles. It will be replaced soon.
